Living Word Kids
The children at Living Word Church have anointed and powerful services, just like the adults; however, we do it kids style. Here at Living Word Kids, we use powerful puppet skits, songs, awesome illustrated sermons, out of the ordinary object lessons, clever crafts, and vibrant games, to teach children how to use and apply the Word of God in their everyday lives. Engaging teaching methods combined with awesome volunteers make Living Word Kids a place where parents know their children are building strong spiritual foundations. Living Word Kids Leaders are background checked for security purposes and on a regular basis are offered training so that they can get better at what they do inside of our Kids area.
The Cafe
The Living Word Cafe seeks to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for people to connect and feel welcome. People arrive early before the Sunday service to enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or hot tea. The cafe’ also offers various pastries and fruit to enjoy. And as always, everything is free. The cafe’ is open every Sunday from 9:00 am - 9:55 am. Members of the Cafe Team welcome everyone by creating a comfortable place to pause, snack, and chat with each other. They do this by offering coffee and food, and by offering a smiling face and warm conversation. They believe deeply that putting a coffee and pastry in someone’s hand and inviting them into conversation can build deep relationships and foster real community.
Welcome Team
At Living Word Church, it is our goal to ensure that guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive on our property. Members of the Welcome Team fulfill various roles that can do that very thing. The team starts with greeters at the door, who welcome people with a smile and make them feel at home as they step through the doors of Living Word. There are also people who “float” through the lobby to make connections with new guests both in the lobby and in the auditorium answering questions, and escorting newcomers around the facilities. This team’s purpose is to provide a welcoming environment to make meaningful connections between guests and members.
Worship Team
Worship spans all aspects of our lives. One of the most common forms of worship today is the music we offer to God by singing and playing instruments. The Worship Team creates and provides an environment that is focused on bringing attention and glory to Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to lead others into the presence of God so they can personally experience His wonder, power and love.
Graphics/Communications
This team creates and directs all visual imaging and communications for Living Word Church. This includes all internal and external marketing materials in all media types, including print, digital, web, social media, video, photography, and signage.
Audio Tech Team
This team helps set the tone for worship through sound, camera, lighting, and other visual elements. At Living Word Church, our Audio Tech Team is dedicated to excellence to enhance the overall worship experience. Whether it is running the sound, computer for projection, lighting, staging or operating a camera, our team will equip you with the proper training you need.
Community Outreach
Serving is a primary thread of the way we do ministry at Living Word. We see service opportunities not only on campus, but also in our local communities. This team shares the love of Christ throughout our community through various services and outreach projects. Some the responsibilities of the volunteers in this team are making monthly snack baskets for our local fire departments, filling candy bags for our holiday events and festivals, making and delivering welcome gifts to our guest speakers, and helping distribute our monthly Acts of Kindness donations.
Fusion Youth (Grades 6th-12th)
Our youth meet every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm in our Fusion Building. At Fusion, the youth experience awesome music, great messages that apply to their life and plenty of time built in to hang out—with friends and some super cool adult leaders who really care about students. Youth get to be themselves, let loose and have a great time growing in their relationship with God! They enjoy free arcade games, air hockey, pool, and snacks! If the weather is right they can even enjoy a game of basketball. The volunteers on this team are responsible for being at weekly services on Sunday mornings, attending and helping during the Wednesday Fusion service, helping with youth events, and connecting with students to further relationships. Volunteers on this team are background checked for security purposes.
Ushers
This team prepares people for a positive worship experience by welcoming and assisting them to a seat and maintaining a safe distraction-free environment before, during, and after each service.
