Knowing your Identity
After you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior; you have also received a new identity in him.
You are not the same person as you use to be because now you are born again.
In the world the enemy will come to search out your identity to steal,
But your identity is in Christ and can never be taken because through his blood it has been sealed.
The Holy Spirit is in you to take up residence in your spirit and in your body to abide,
And all that God is; His Life, His Nature and His ability by grace is living on the inside.
Most of God's people do not have an understanding of who they are in him.
They only know that they are God's children and have been saved from sin.
But when you search the scriptures you can readily see
That whom God has set free is free indeed.
In your identity through the blood of the Lamb; you have been redeemed,
And you have been highly favored, made brand new, raised up and esteemed.
You are no longer your own for you have been bought with a price.
In order for you to have this new identity; there had to be a sacrifice.
In this new identity that was given to you; you are no longer a sinner.
God took your unrighteousness and gave you his righteousness and made you a winner.
So look into the perfect law of liberty and find out who you are inside,
Then you will know that there is no weapon that the enemy has that can destroy you
from the outside
