Standing up for America

Standing up for America

2016 by Pastor Moss

People say they love America, but don’t go to the polls

They say they forgot or didn’t have time as we are told

Many of these people are Christians and they said they will just pray

These non-voters just sit in their pews, thinking everything will be ok

True Americas will get out and vote because in God we trust

We will vote for the one who believes in morals and do what is just

Millions of Christians do not care who is running at all

They will just go on their way as usual and not heed the call

It’s time to stand up as the blood bought church and take our stand

Because the results of this nation is up to us to enforce peace in the land

If we bind together as Christians and stand up and fight

We should vote together as Americans and demand what is right

We don’t work for the Government; they work for you and me

We are not their slaves so let’s vote in this land of the free

Yes! We need to pray and also put actions to our prayer

But if we pray without actions, then we are saying we don’t care

Ronald Reagan stressed a need for a smaller government without total control

So we could remain as free Americans in order to prosper and grow

Martin Luther King said “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

We as believer should treat each other with love and respect and together be the sequel

As we walk in the unity with God and man

Let’s go out and vote and protect our land

We are the people who are mighty and strong

And we shall stand together as Americans and protect our God given home.
